SADDLE REPANELING
SADDLE RE-PANELING is a layman's term to describe the entire removal of a saddle's existing flocking and the replacement with new wool. Typically recommended for saddles with panels that are hard or lumpy. With advance notice, this often can be accomplished in 3 hours or less. If shipping in, please allow a 4-7 business day turnaround.

Step One: Cutting the internal stitches and removing the old wool. |

STEP ONE: We cut the stitch holding the panels onto the saddle tree and separate the panels from the upper portion of the saddle. After checking the tree for trauma or weakness, we thoroughly clean and condition the interior of the saddle, and remove the existing wool.
STEP TWO: After all the old wool is removed, we re-flock the hard-to-reach parts of the saddle.
STEP THREE: We re-stitch the panels onto the saddle.
STEP FOUR: We then re-flock the entire saddle with the finest virgin wool, straight from England.
STEP FIVE: The saddle then goes on the Horse for customization.
PLEASE NOTE: New wool takes some time to break in. Therefore, it is advisable not to do major changes just before a competition. We recommend that the Rider allow a minimum of 10 days for the new wool to settle. Most times, the saddle rides better and is more comfortable immediately, but there are always exceptions. After 2-4 weeks, our Saddle Fitter schedules a return "check-up", in which the saddle can be further customized, if needed.

SADDLE FACE-LIFT
SADDLE FACE-LIFT is a term borrowed from the Plastic Surgery community, denoting an entire saddle rejuvenation. During a Saddle Face-Lift, the saddle gets a fresh, new look. For Riders who love their old saddle, but are embarrassed by its look, this is for you! During the procedure, the saddle gets new wool, new internal stitches (the old ones are often rotted with age), new billets, and a 24-hour intensive conditioning treatment. TURNAROUND TIME: ONLY 3 DAYS!
STEP ONE: Our Saddle Fitter starts by Re-paneling the saddle (see above) with the most luxurious wool available, straight from England. During the Re-paneling procedure, the saddle is re-stitched at pommel and cantle with high tensile thread, and the interior of the saddle is cleaned and conditioned.
STEP TWO: The saddle gets new leather billets. Price includes either 4 long dressage billets in black or 6 short billets in havana brown.
STEP THREE: The saddle is thoroughly cleaned and an intensive conditioner is applied, with care to avoid the stitching. The saddle is placed under warming lamps to facilitate the absorption of conditioner. The conditioning balm is re-applied as needed, for the next 24 hours. |
